You're welcome to call me Jen.

I believe that we are wired for connection. When we become disconnected—from ourselves, our relationships, our values, or the life we want to be living—we often experience that disconnection as anxiety, depression, burnout, grief, or simply feeling stuck. Therapy offers an opportunity to reconnect.

I am a Nurse Practitioner–Psychotherapist with over a decade of experience in mental health and addictions care across hospitals in Southern Ontario. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Western University, a Master of Nursing and Nurse Practitioner degree from Queen's University, and a Certificate in Counselling Techniques from Laurier University.

My nursing background shapes the way I practice psychotherapy—bringing together evidence-based care with curiosity, compassion, and a holistic understanding of each person's mental, emotional, physical, and relational well-being. I believe people are more than their symptoms or diagnoses, and that meaningful change comes from understanding ourselves more deeply—our emotions, relationships, values, and the experiences that have shaped us.

The greatest privilege of my work is walking alongside people as they make sense of their stories. Together, we can explore the patterns, beliefs, and experiences that may be keeping you stuck, fostering greater self-understanding, self-compassion, and meaningful change.

At the heart of my work is the belief that healing happens through connection: connection with ourselves, with others, and with the parts of ourselves we may have lost along the way. My role is to help you reconnect with yourself—creating a space where you feel safe to explore, grow, and move toward a life that feels more authentic, fulfilling, and aligned with who you are.

Outside of work, I find joy in spending time in nature, sharing good food with people I love, reading and writing, and enjoying the (sometimes) quiet company of my cats.

Live your life as an experiment - good in the beginning, good in the middle, good in the end.

My Core Values in Practice

Authenticity.

Acceptance.

Curiosity.

Kindness.

Balance.

Inner Harmony.

Adventure.

Showing up as yourself in every moment—including the parts that feel imperfect—while striving to live in alignment with your inner being.

Giving space and grace to all parts of yourself, meeting past experiences and present moments with gentle acknowledgement, non-judgment, and compassion.

Approaching life with genuine inquiry, seeking to better understand ourselves, our experiences, and the challenges we face.

A foundational way of being that shapes how we attend to ourselves, our experiences, and others—expressed through care, gentleness, and respect.

Finding a middle ground between acceptance and change, gently tending to your own needs while navigating life’s demands, and cultivating mental and emotional flexibility.

An inner warmth and steadiness that comes from nervous system regulation and living in alignment with your core values—fostering a greater peace and trust with yourself, your actions, and the direction of your life.

Approaching life and therapy as a journey into unknown territory—sometimes challenging, sometimes uncertain, but ultimately exciting and full of potential for growth and transformation.

The good life isn't a result reached by winning the struggle. The struggle is the good life.
